decaying process

using imagery from photographs of a cut victoria flower at one, three, and five days of decay, a CMYK process is employed to capture the full intensity of its saturation and detail. as the flower deteriorates, color deepens and complexity emerges, revealing an unexpected richness within decline.

the work considers decay as a generative state, where transformation produces new visual and material possibilities. in this way, it echoes human life cycles, where change, deterioration, and beauty exist simultaneously.
