obsessed with yoga and also alcohol

this piece recontextualizes fleeting digital imagery, combining contemporary internet references with themes of mindfulness, connection to nature, and being offline.

the humor emerges from an internal dichotomy with both contrasting states. yes, I meditate every morning, and I do yoga, and I take long walks through the forest. and yes I indulge in doom scrolling and brain rot. the work exists in the overlap of a space that feels mutually exclusive: aware, conflicted, and a little absurd.

the grainy, tactile quality of oil-based ink on paper in a book form invites a deeper engagement with the images while the unpredictable nature of the medium reveals indications of the process, contrasting the sleek, disposable quality of digital viewing. mixed with pseudo-scientific diagrams and blank spreads, the layout adds both context, ambiguity and space for interpretation.
